Former IBA and current IBC cruiserweight champion Bobby “The Celtic Warrior” Gunn 19-3-1 (16 KO’s) will return to the ring Thursday November 20th as he headlines “Thursday Night Thunder” at the Celebrity  Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona. The card is being promoted by New York based attorney George Kokkalenios and David Feldman of FelKO promotions. Gunn will be challenging for the WBC/USNBC cruiserweight title, with the potential of a big time bout if victorious. Gunn is excited to step back into the squared circle following his impressive title winning performance in July.
“I am glad to be fighting again before the year comes to the end, said Gunn. “I appreciate all the support especially that of my attorney George Kokkalenios, who has been a major part of putting this show together. This will be my sixth title fight and first for a prestigious WBC belt, so I plan to put on a great show for all my fans”, said the former amateur star.
Gunn’s opponent and the undercard bouts will be announced shortly. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday October 15th and can be purchased by going to www.celebritytheatre.com.

Ken Shamrock cuts his eye so he cannot fight, some no name Karate Kid guy with colorful black and pink hair takes the main event, Kimbo goes down on some bull @#!% jab to the eye, tells all the fans “its all good, lets go to the after party at the bar” amazingly headlines read “Kimbo Goes Down”, Tito Ortiz is in the crowd talking about his comeback, Roy Nelson gets dropped after trying to suffocate Andrei Arlovski with his arm pit, Jake Shields displays a basic arm bar, and the ref kept asking the fighters to give there best for “the millions of viewers out there watching”.
Well CBS you did it again. That was the worst performance in MMA history. Wait a minute, I can’t even label that Mixed Martial Arts, its more like Washed up Want to be Cage Fighters, the WWCF. Elite XC, that is a joke, try Retired-Fighters XC. Ken Shamrock, with a performance like that you belong in the WWF, WWE, TNA or whatever fake wrestling organization you can get in to.
With all do respect Ken, you and guys like Tito Ortiz revolutionized the sport so why the hell are you selling out to networks like CBS??? They only want to resurrect Andre “The Giant” from the dead and bring back “The Iron Shrek” for a rematch. Come on man you carry the label of “the most dangerous man in the world”. With you and guys like Rick Roufus, Tito Ortiz, and your friend Chuck Liddell. You could broadcast your own fights from your own network and Ken Shamrock Entertainment would be able to produce and pull the true old school fans of the sport.
If CBS wants to ruin the sport of MMA they should run one of these shows once a month. Any fight that I see on a CBS fight card I will most certainly turn the channel to that mobster wrestling WWF type thing, it would definitely be more entertaining. I should have watched the re-broadcast of Quinton Jackson and Forrest Griffin on Spike TV, that was a real fight. The best chance CBS has at becoming a player in MMA is to turn it into a women’s fighting league. Gina Carano is definitely a badMFer, as long as you keep putting freelance fighters right off the street into the ring with her that have never had experience at a big event. Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos and Gina Carano will be a great fight, finally!
Attention all viewers, you did not witness a MMA fight card. That was a pathetic attempt to pull the highest ratings in history. Remember when NBC tried to come out with the XFL? Same type of programming. Recockulous !!!!
